The Research Director works closely with the Executive Director to guide and implement internal processes, policies, and procedures that support the FCRO’s internal operations and help to meet the FCRO’s statutory review and reporting requirements through data collection and analysis. This data analysis is also used to respond to data requests from the Nebraska Legislature and other agencies in developing statewide public policy and fiscal priorities. The Research Director also researches national models to assist in determining critical indicators that the child welfare and juvenile justice systems should focus on when making strategic decisions. The Research Director conducts research projects including the refinement of research problems, design of methodologies for collecting and reporting program and analytical data from multiple sources, analysis of data and preparation of reports on programs, operations, and issues pertinent to the FCRO. The Research Director must have strong organizational and technical skills that can be flexibly adapted to meet the needs of the FCRO and external stakeholders. The Research Director must provide outstanding leadership, communicate professionally, and work collaboratively, efficiently, and strategically both individually and as part of a team of diverse professionals.

The University of South Florida College of Public Health’s Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health Education, Science, and Practice (CoE) is recruiting for two postdoctoral fellows to contribute to the center’s research and teaching needs in maternal and child health (MCH) and to become prepared for MCH faculty positions and MCH leadership positions at the national and state levels.
These are two-year fellowships funded by the HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau, with particular foci on research pertaining to maternal/infant health, child/adolescent health, women’s health, sexual/reproductive health, family/community violence, and unintentional injury. There is specific interest in recruiting individuals from racially/ethnically diverse backgrounds in addition to other underrepresented minority backgrounds.

- If you are an incoming/Fall 2020 UNMC student, your first day of work cannot be before the first day of classes (August 24th).
