Year-Long Environmental Internship

This is a posting for an internship with the Environmental Management Group in the Safety Department of Union Pacific Railroad. The successful candidate must be available for part-time, year-round employment continuing as needed with no guarantee for opportunities beyond. This internship is designed to further the company’s employee engagement initiatives for environmental stewardship. This person will be the primary interface for conservation suggestions from employees and others; the role includes prioritizing focuses and facilitating implementation. This person also will manage the broader portfolio of suggestions to understand trends and opportunities across the railroad. Additionally, this position will play a role in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives related to environmental stewardship, such as programs for Earth Day, recognition, and other communication.

Applicants are required to attend a college in, or the near proximity of, Omaha, Nebraska for successful part-time, year-round employment.

Summer Internship

This is a posting for a summer intern with the Safety Department of Union Pacific Railroad. The successful candidate must be available for full-time employment during at least a 10-week period in Summer 2016 with no guarantee for opportunities beyond. The intern will build a comprehensive environmental training plan. The best candidate will have solid communication skills, a strong sense of organization, and an environmental passion.

Summer Occupational Health Internship Program (OHIP)

This is the 13th year of the Occupational Health Internship Program (OHIP), a field-based learning experience in occupational safety and health. Teams of two students are placed with labor unions or community-based organizations to work on projects that investigate job-related health and safety issues among workers, often of new immigrant groups, employed in an under-served or a high hazard job. Post-doctoral position in Tobacco Control

The Center for Tobacco Studies at the Rutgers University School of Public Health is excited to announce the availability of a post-doctoral position in tobacco control. Eligible candidates should have a doctoral degree in public health, behavioral science, health services research, sociology, anthropology, psychology, or a related discipline.
