If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you – Hepatitis Program Coordinator. You will ensure public safety by providing expert consultation and technical assistance on various hepatitis issues, including prevalence, disease testing, high-risk factors, viral load suppression, and treatment. As the Hepatitis Program Coordinator, you serve as the DHHS subject matter expert for hepatitis outreach and education, in an effort to identify and treat persons with Hepatitis C as successful treatment is a cure. Hepatitis education curtails the transmission of the condition by raising awareness of risk factors and concentrating testing efforts in communities impacted. You will also represent DHHS on committees and planning groups to facilitate hepatitis health education program development throughout Nebraska. Additional job duties include completing required federal reports, annual grant applications, and site visits to local health departments and other partners working in the healthcare field.
