Epidemiologist III/Epidemiologists Team Lead

The Texas Department of State Health Services is seeking an Epidemiologist III.

(Requisition number –345812) : Under limited supervision of the Manager for the Office of Surveillance, Evaluation and Research (OSER) within the Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention Section (HPCDPS), performs advanced and senior-level epidemiological analysis and surveillance activities for the HPCDPS programs. Serves as Epidemiology Team lead for OSER. Oversees the initiation, planning and development of epidemiological projects related to chronic diseases and risk factors. Responsible for the implementation of policies and protocols to ensure completion of epidemiological projects and activities. Responsible for identifying and examining extant sources of data for chronic diseases. Oversees data collection and surveillance activities to ensure quality control. Assists the OSER Branch Manager and the HPCDPS Director in the coordination of epidemiological activities across the branch and section. Writes data and surveillance reports as required by internal and external management, and funding sources.

San Francisco State is seeking a Health Educator. Under general supervision, the Health Educator provides assessment of needs, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a broad spectrum of integrated health education, health promotion and disease prevention programs, for use throughout the campus.  The goal of these programs is to meet the health education and promotion needs of an ethnically and culturally diverse student population.  Incumbent may directly supervise student peer health educators and/or advise student volunteer members of the Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC).  Incumbent may also be subject to a background check and fingerprinting. Safety & Health Specialist

The Laborer’s Health & Safety Fund of North America is seeking a Safety & Health Specialist.

Reporting directly to the Director of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Division, this position provides technical assistance on construction and general OSH issues to all affiliates of the Laborers’ Health & Safety Fund of North America (LHSFNA). A successful candidate will interact with other Division and Fund staff on initiatives to meet the directives and objectives of the Fund, as well as interacting with affiliated union bodies (locals, district councils and regions), training centers, sister funds, contractors, membership and other affiliates in promoting and advancing LHSFNA initiatives. This position includes an excellent salary and benefits package. The LHSFNA is a nonprofit joint labor-management trust fund. The Fund is also an equal opportunity employer.
