Andrew Ensz, a fourth-year medical student, presented ‘Smoking Cessation in Clinical Practice’ as part of a Family Medicine senior selective course on nicotine addiction. Ensz focused on the “five A’s” of smoking cessation and how he will work it into his practice.
“For my final year of medical school, I choose selectives that focus on the social aspect of medicine and ones that would involve having difficult conversations with patients. Smoking cessation is a conversation that is often more serious than we usually think,” Ensz said.
Ensz will complete his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
