The past year has brought several changes to the Department of Family Medicine faculty and staff. The department welcomed ten new faculty members, all an integral part in the training of family medicine residents.
Five new support staff members also joined while five faculty members are transitioning to other roles.
Orientation month for the 2019-2020 Family Medicine resident began in July, training 22 medical school graduates to gain the skills necessary to become successful family physicians.
As part of the orientation month, the Family Medicine interns, Chief Residents, and faculty had a team building event at Craft Axe Throwing. The event produced some very skilled axe throwers, especially program director Dr. Jarzynka.
