Residents present at virtual NAFP Meeting

Two Department of Family Medicine residents presented posters at the virtual 2020 Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians 72nd Annual Meeting & Scientific Assembly.

Sub-intern Haley Mathews presented “Body Mass Index Trend in Patients Presenting for Colonoscopy Over 7 Years” and HO-III Mitch Martin presented “Running Miles Without the Smiles: An Exploration of Alternative Treatment”.

Latest GMERJ issue features Family Medicine residents

The Graduate Medical Education Research Journal (GMERJ) is a journal affiliated with the Office of Graduate Medical Education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

6th Annual Resident Research Symposium

The 6th Annual Resident Research Symposium on Wednesday, March 27, featured poster presentations and oral presentations from Department of Family Medicine residents. The top presenters are recognized at the annual event attended by faculty, residents, and staff. This year’s winners were:

  • First Place: Dr. David Rodriguez for “Shoulder Pain Flu Away”
  • Second Place: Dr. Cade Craig for “An Evolving Curriculum:  Improving Resident Education on Billing and Coding and Changes Affecting Future Reimbursements”
