The 2016 Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Student Education Meeting featured several opportunities to learn new skills and gain new ideas while attending several education sessions and workshops.
Family Medicine Clinical Associate Professor, William Hay, M.D., presented at the conference in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, January 30. Dr. Hay, along with four other authors, held a seminar titled “The Interprofessional Preceptor“.
The session had a valuable takeaway for participants. Those attending learned to facilitate interprofessional small groups of learners, precept interprofessional teams of learners and convene an Interprofessional Preceptor faculty development workshop at their home institution utilizing the new resources upon their return home to advance and champion the work.
