Department of Family Medicine faculty attended the 2017 Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Annual Spring Conference in early May, presenting at several education sessions.
Director of Behavioral, Dr. Jessica Koran-Scholl, along with a colleague from internal medicine, Dr. Jennifer Harsh, presented a lecture on “Burnout and Wellness: Using Photographs to Highlight the Medical Resident Experience”.
Koran and Residency Program Director, Dr. Kimberly Jarzynka, also participated in two breakfast roundtables, covering the topics of “Promoting Research in Family Medicine: Developing a Departmental Research Mentoring Committee” and “Practical Metrics for Assessing Family Medicine Resident Scholarly Work: Dilemmas and Solutions”.
Associate Professors, Dr. Jenenne Geske, and Dr. Birgit Khandalavala were also involved in the research for the roundtable discussions.
