Department of Family Medicine Professor, Paul Paulman, M.D., is the principal investigator of the $5.5 million grant from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust to use mobile, high-tech simulation trucks to provide training opportunities on life-saving procedures for rural emergency medical providers and hospitals.
Here is an update from the SIM-NE team and their current focuses:
- Securing space for each truck.
- Meeting with local leaders at each site to discuss the program.
- Received a set of mannequins and equipment to outfit each truck.
- Awarded $62,500 grant from Women Investing in Nebraska.
