The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department position is part of the departments’ Injury Prevention Program.
This position will have primary responsibility for guiding efforts of the Safe Kids Lincoln-Lancaster County coalition task forces including: program planning, member recruitment, fund development, and community presentations and trainings.
Experience in coordinating programs, leading community groups/coalitions, working with the media, and working with health-related projects is preferred.
Candidate must exhibit good verbal and written communications skills.
Must be able to lift and carry large boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.
Qualification: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public health education, public administration or related field with 2 years experience in public health education; or equivalent.
Necessary Special Requirement: Possession of a valid driver’s license when operating a vehicle is necessary for the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.
Requires certification as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (will have 6 months to obtain certification).
