Description of work: Support and maintain services regarding transmission of cancer data and pathology results between lab facilities, health care providers and the Nebraska Cancer Registry System. Develop systems for secure transport and acceptance of cancer data for interagency and external stakeholders use. Convert cancer data sets to meet Health Level 7 (HL7) specifications, create, and maintain implementation guides for data specifications. Assist health care providers and laboratory facilities in establishing ongoing cancer message feeds and provide and coordinate support between providers, laboratories and the State of Nebraska Office of Health Statistics.
Minimum Requirements: Associate’s degree plus one year experience with HL7, Rhapsody Integration Engine, Message Subscription Service, JavaScript, SQL Query, Mirth Connect, PHINMS, Page Builder, and Excel programs required; equivalent education/experience considered. Must be fluent in use and understanding of Rhapsody, MSS, PHINMS, HL7, JavaScript, data exchange and SQL.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or math preferred
