This year GSA hosted our second annual superhero party for the pediatric patients. We collaborate with the child life specialists to come up with fun activities that the patients would enjoy. Graduate students volunteered the week before the party to help prepare activities and materials. On the day of the party we had graduate students dress up as costumed heroes who interacted with the patients and brought capes to patients too sick to come out to the party. The kids kept talking about how fun the party was, and even wore their capes the rest of the day. Check out the photos from setting up and the party!
