The Center for Healthy Living (CFHL) at UNMC is proud to announce that online registration is open for the Fall 2017 Intramural Leagues. Leagues include: Badminton Singles & Doubles, Dodgeball, Co-ed Basketball, Volleyball, Men’s Basketball, Ping Pong, Futsal (Indoor Soccer), and Pickleball Singles & Doubles. Compete against students and employees from all around the university to win the coveted Championship T-Shirts. What can you expect from the upcoming season?
New Leagues – In addition to keeping perennial favorites like Co-ed Volleyball, Men’s Basketball, and Dodgeball, we’ve expanded our leagues to include Futsal (Indoor Soccer), Co-ed Basketball, and several individual sports.
New Service – Starting this fall, registration for all leagues will be managed online through EZLeagues, our new web-based league management service. Once a captain creates a team within EZLeagues, he or she may add players to the team’s roster OR team members may sign up as add-ons. Beyond registration, EZLeagues allows players to check their team’s schedule, results, standings, and individual player statistics without having to create an account or log in.
New Options – Whether you don’t have a team or your team is a few players shy of a full roster, we’re committed to helping you compete. That’s why we now offer the option of registering as an individual for our team sports. Once registered, an individual may a) choose to join a team in need of additional players OR b) form a new team with other individuals unattached to a team.
New Format – In order to reduce the commitment required of teams, we now offer a number of leagues with shorter 5-week seasons (Futsal, Co-ed Basketball, Badminton, Pickleball, and Ping Pong).
Fall Indoor Leagues begin during the last week of September. Registration must be received one week prior to the first day of play. More information regarding intramural sports at UNMC can be found on the Center for Healthy Living website. If you have any questions or encounter any issues forming your team, signing up, etc., you may email the league coordinator email@example.com.
Referees – Any individuals interested in officiating volleyball, basketball, futsal, soccer, dodgeball, broomball, curling, or softball should contact the league coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org inquire about openings.
