The UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators is opening membership to student involvement. The application period for interested students will be open through September 5, 2017. Goals:
Provide training and opportunities for experience in teaching.
Provide opportunities to become involved in curricular design, educational projects, and research.
Connect learner members with mentors.
Establish a community for UNMC learners interested in education and/or academic health careers.
Structure:
Open to learners in any college, program, or institute
One academic year term, renewable as long as learner is at UNMC
Application process:
Online form, learners will designate why they are interested in IAE membership, share any prior teaching or related experience, and areas of interest
Letter from Program Director, Academic Affairs Dean, or equivalent supporting their application (to ensure good academic standing, etc.)
