A Stress Management and Resiliency Training (SMART) program will be offered to the UNMC community beginning next week.
For a registration fee of $50 (to cover materials), the eight-week classes will offer students and professionals the opportunity to learn strategies to cope with feelings of stress and anxiety.
The series of classes will be offered at three times:
- Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., beginning on Feb. 1;
- Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon, beginning on Feb. 3; and
- Saturdays from 1 to 3 p.m., beginning Feb. 3.
Members of the UNMC Department of Psychiatry are working with doctors at Harvard Medical School and the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine to present this series on ways to relieve stress and anxiety in the workplace.
