GSA is beginning a Student Networking Night series for the spring semester to give students an opportunity to learn about professional development, identify career opportunities, and meet people in fields they may be interested in. Watch out for additional announcements about more events in this series throughout the semester!
Join us at Barrett’s Barleycorn on Monday, January 23 at 7pm for the first event in this series, where we’ll discuss the importance of involvement in activities outside the lab with a panel of senior students and recent graduates. We’ll be discussing the impact of professional development on career opportunities and finding/securing a job after graduation, as well as some opportunities currently available on campus to help students achieve their career goals. Snacks and beverages will be provided. This event will be limited to 15 attendees, so please email tayla.heavican@unmc.edu to secure a spot if you would like to attend.
