The University of Nebraska is in the final stages of its national search for our next president. Four outstanding finalists are being considered and, as part of the interview process, are speaking at public forums held on each campus. While one of the candidates has already spoken at UNMC, the remaining three will be speaking in Room 1005 of the Sorrell Center at the following times:
• Dr. Michael Martin, chancellor of the Colorado State University System: Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 10:30 a.m.
• Dr. Hank Bounds, commissioner of higher education for the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning: Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 2:30 p.m.
• Dr. Sally Rockey, deputy director for extramural research at the National Institutes of Health: Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 10:30 a.m.
Student participation is important to the selection process and, as such, students are being strongly encouraged to attend. The board of Reagents also invites you to submit your feedback on the candidates at the following link: www.nebraska.edu/presidentsearch/feedback. If you are unable to attend a UNMC forum, you may also watch a recording of the candidate’s UNL forums, which will be posted on the presidential search website: http://nebraska.edu/presidentsearch
