We did it! SAHP hit 100% participation!
Thank you to ALL the faculty and staff in the School of Allied Health Professions for helping us reach 100% participation in the United Way campaign. Word is that we’re the first department to ever do that, so congratulations, everyone! Also, a super big thank you to Geri Finn for pushing us to greatness. 🙂

New baby in the SAHP
Kate and Travis Wampler are proud parents of a baby boy, Ben, born on 8/22 at 8:41pm and weighed 6lbs 5oz, 19.5 inches. Kate is the clinical coordinator for our Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Congratulations on your new addition!

Some sweet successes in the school
All 2012 graduates of the cytotechnology program have passed their board examinations. In order to pass you must score a 400 or higher. UNMC students had a mean score of 700! Jana Koth receives Master’s degree
August 2012 – Jana Koth, clinical education coordinator for the Radiation Therapy program, graduated with a Master of Public Health from UNMC. The title of her capstone was “A Survey of Community Knowledge and Attitudes towards Smoke-Free Parks in Douglas County, Nebraska.” Congratulations Jana!
