Fran Higgins, in the associate dean’s office, received the Wardle-Spire-Lane Graduate Fellowship for 2010-2011 from the UNO English department on Friday, April 16. She was nominated for academic excellence by one of her professors and shares the award with a fellow student. Higgins was also recognized for completion of the Advanced Writing certificate, conferred in December. A reception at the Thompson Alumni House honored scholarship recipients and honor graduates from the BA, MA, and certificate programs.
