March is National Sleep Awareness Month and Megan Frazee, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT ’09, shares how sleep deprivation impacts our body and how healthcare providers can ask patients about the quality of their sleep and then educate them about basic sleep hygiene techniques. “It’s been shown that one night of sleep decreases the immune fighting cells in your body so you are more likely to get sick and you are more likely to get other kinds of conditions. I think it’s just something we all need to be a little more aware of.”
