A Musical Interlude

We invite you to enjoy this special performance of “Hornpipe” from Handel’s Water Music, played by two members of the Nebraska Medical Orchestra; Jake Son and John Hao.

This video is part of the UNMC Alumni Association and the UNMC Campus Wellness Program’s mini-series, the UNMC Talent Treasure Trove. These short videos are meant to provide viewers with a daily dose of positivity, perhaps laughter, helpful insight for life or just a pleasant time-out from the daily norm, all while showcasing the talents of our faculty, staff, students, fellow colleagues, and alumni. To get involved or learn more, send an email to alumni@unmcalumni.org.

If you would like to enjoy more music from the Nebraska Medical Orchestra and the brand-new Nebraska Medical Choir, they will be performing a holiday pops concert on Wednesday, December 15 at the University of Nebraska Omaha at 7:30 p.m. in the Jan & John Christensen Concert Hall in UNO’s Strauss Performing Arts Center.

More event details are below–be sure to read if you plan to attend

Parking is free and adjacent to the Strauss Performing Arts Center. ADA parking and seating are available. Per the UNMC and UNO Health Security COVID-19 policies, everyone in attendance will be required to wear a mask. Families may sit together, but each group is asked to socially distance from others in the concert hall. All participants in the ensembles, including the choir, will be masked and distanced; protocols include modified masks to minimize risk while playing.
