This winter, the College of Allied Health Professions’ Student Ambassadors took up the mantle of compassion and community service. Their mission? To spread warmth and wellness through a January food drive.
With drop-off locations in Omaha and Kearney, the students collected donations to support the Omaha Open Door Mission and the Kearney Jubilee Center, both of which work tirelessly to alleviate hunger and provide essential resources to those in need.
The response from both the student body and wider community was remarkable with ample donations made of canned food, pasta and sauce, fruits, vegetables, boxed meals, toothbrushes, candy, board games and more. Organizers said the generosity underscores the commitment of the Student Ambassadors and the spirit of unity and empathy within the community.
