Tessa Wells, PT, DPT, joined the CAHP faculty in the Division of Physical Therapy Education in Kearney. She grew up in south-central Nebraska and always wanted to go back to the area and be a part of the medical field in some way.
More from Tessa in her own words:
I graduated from UNMC in 2006 and promptly moved back to Kearney (the day after graduation) and began practicing at Good Samaritan Hospital. In 2007 I devoted my professional life to the growth and development of GSH’s outpatient physical therapy clinic. I have enjoyed living and working in the Kearney community for the last 10 years in outpatient and inpatient arenas, investing in patient’s lives and assisting them to navigate their personal recovery journeys. I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my career and the impact that the Kearney campus will have on healthcare services in south-central Nebraska and beyond!
My husband, Nate, and I have three beautiful children who keep us going and laughing every day. I am rediscovering my love for Legos, coloring, and playing with dolls and Barbies from my childhood! We enjoy being active in our local church in the youth education programs, teaching Children’s Church and Wednesday night Truth Expedition. I am also active in my children’s school, where I lead the Parent-Teacher Organization.
I enjoy cooking, playing the piano and getting lost in a good book. We are avid Husker fans, and enjoy catching baseball, volleyball, and football games whenever we can.
Welcome aboard, Tessa!
