Ali Mercado, MAEd, is a new research coordinator in the CAHP Office of Research Affairs. Here’s more about Ali in her own words:
Before joining UNMC, I spent 14 years at the University of Nebraska at Kearney as an undergraduate student, graduate student, and staff member in Exercise Science. During my time there, I served as Program Director for Building Healthy Families, a family healthy weight program dedicated to helping families develop healthy habits and improve their overall well-being.
Today, I live in Austin, Texas, with my two children. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my kids at local splash pads, getting lost in the latest thriller novel, and discovering new coffee shops around the city.
I am excited to be part of the UNMC community and look forward to continuing to expand the impact of Building Healthy Families by helping families improve their health and wellness through an evidence-based program and support.
