Big weekend for RSTE students and faculty at NSRT

It was a busy weekend for our RSTE students & faculty at the Nebraska Society of Radiologic Technology (NSRT) Annual Conference in Grand Island.

  • Faculty Presentations
    • Lisa Bartenhagen gave two presentations
      • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Q & A Session for Students
      • ARRT Standards of Ethics – Overview for Technologists
    • Jim Temme presented a lecture titled Forensic Radiography & the Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team: A Radiographers Experience
    • Tanya Custer & Christina Greg presented a lecture titled The Role of the Radiologic Technologist in the Clinical Management of the Ebola Patient

    • Tanya Custer was presented with the Sister Francis Salesia Memorial Award & presented a lecture in honor of the award.
  • Faculty Board Member Elections
    • Christina Gregg has served on the NSRT board for the past year (2014-2015) as Vice President & was re-elected in the position for the upcoming year.
    • Tanya Custer was elected as President Elect for the upcoming year & also served as the student bowl coordinator.

The conference was once again, very successful for the students & faculty; the following is a list of honors & awards received.
