On Saturday, October 11th, at the state business meeting luncheon in Lincoln, the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association (NPTA) honored members who continue to make outstanding and substantial contributions to the profession and association.

Joe Norman, PT, PhD, CCS, FAACVPR, program director in the UNMC Division of Physical Therapy Education, was the recipient of the Mary Ellen Sacksteder Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Advancement of Physical Therapy. This is the highest award given by the NPTA.

Two of our graduates, Jessica Turner, PT, DPT, OCS, and Lisa Black, PT, DPT, were also honored for clinical excellence and education, respectively.
