Growing up in Nebraska, the University of Nebraska Medical Center was heralded as the pinnacle of healthcare for the entire state of Nebraska. UNMC and Nebraska Medicine are one of the premier establishments in the region and I knew my education would equip me with the necessary skills to thrive as a member of the healthcare team. Many of the pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare members that had provided care for me as a patient had completed their training at UNMC. As both a patient and an aspiring health professional, I witnessed firsthand the knowledge, empathy, and expertise of those who trained here. I knew obtaining an education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center would push me to become the best pharmacist possible, while maintaining my close-knit support system.
