Advice From a 2019 Grad for New Students

The best advice that I was given prior to entering pharmacy school was to get involved and to make the most of the opportunities presented to me. Befriend others, not only in the College of Pharmacy, but in the other colleges as well. Some of these people may be your future colleagues and others may become lifelong friends. Get involved with student organizations. These allow you to explore different areas/specialties within the pharmacy profession and to truly find your niche. Additionally, student organizations also offer leadership positions and networking opportunities, both advantageous for your future career. Everyone you meet along your educational path knows something that you don’t, so use every interaction as an opportunity to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.
