Langel promoted to CAHP director of research

We are pleased to announce that Meghan Langel, MPH, has been promoted to the position of Director of Research in the College.

Meghan began her career at UNMC as a research assistant in the College of Public Health. Since then she has held progressively responsible research support roles in the College, before assuming the position of research administrator in 2016. With her support, and that of other CAHP research personnel, grant submissions have grown from the previous high of 19 in 2014, to 31 and 30 in each of the past two years.

“As those who have interacted with Meghan know, she is a wealth of knowledge regarding the mechanics of grant submissions and all things grant compliance,” said Laura Bilek, PhD, CAHP associate dean for research. “In her new role Meghan will continue to provide that expertise and spend more time matching grant mechanisms to faculty projects and structuring grants to meet funding agency goals.”
