Saturday, June 11, 2016 was a proud day for Laura Bilek, PT, PhD, associate dean for research, and her daughters, Anna and Lauren. The girls helped the Council Bluffs Lewis Central Titans win the Class 2-A state soccer tournament championship, beating Pella 5-0.
This was the 10th straight shutout for the team and the first championship in Lewis Central history! The school had never won a soccer game at state and never won a team championship.
Anna (#7) just graduated and Lauren (#17) finished her sophomore year by scoring one of the championship goals. Congratulations, ladies!
