Second year Clinical Perfusion student Kate Fread was awarded the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology Perfusion Without Borders Scholarship. Annually, only one perfusion student in the country is awarded this scholarship, and it supports a student mission trip.
Ms. Fread has been accepted to go to Nigeria to help perform cardiac surgery on those in need.
