CLS Class of 1965 celebrated 50 years in September

Graduates of the 1965 UNMC Medical Technology Class (now known as clinical laboratory science/medical laboratory science) celebrated their 50th reunion by revisiting the UNMC campus on September 25-26, 2015.

Eleven class members and six instructors, including their program director, Dr. Arden Larsen, reminisced about their student/instructor experiences and their professional careers (some are still practicing professionals). In presentations, Karen Stiles, NPLH, described the integration of the clinical laboratory with the biocontainment unit when treating EBOLA patients, and dean Kyle Meyer, PhD, provided CAHP updates.

The event finale included a tour of Nebraska Medicine’s clinical laboratory facilities.
