Clinical Perfusion Education program receives gift!

Tom Steffens, perfusion manager at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, generously donated a state-of-the-art ventricular assist device, which is a mechanical circulatory device used to partially or completely replace the function of a failing heart.

Mr. Steffens is our lead clinical coordinator at UWH, a board member with the perfusion national society and also an MDCP alum from UNMC. His daughter, Kristen, will begin our perfusion program in the fall.
