This award was established to recognize an American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science – Nebraska (ASCLS-NE) member who actively promotes the laboratory profession. Recipients must have acted as a positive role model and mentor to members of the society or to MLS/MLT students just as its namesake Shirley Noble did.
Karen Honeycutt, PhD, MLS program director and associate professor, received the Filter Award. This award goes to an outstanding ASCLS-NE member who has made a significant contribution to their society. Nominations are based on the member’s activities during the current year, as well as a summary of that person’s contributions to the Medical Laboratory Science profession.
