Kevin McGuire receives the Shirley Noble Award from Dr. Karen Honeycutt.

Kevin McGuire, MLS assistant professor and chemistry coordinator, received the Shirley Noble Award. This award was established to recognize an American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science – Nebraska (ASCLS-NE) member who actively promotes the laboratory profession. Recipients must have acted as a positive role model and mentor to members of the society or to MLS/MLT students just as its namesake Shirley Noble did.

Karen Honeycutt, PhD, MLS program director and associate professor, received the Filter Award. This award goes to an outstanding ASCLS-NE member who has made a significant contribution to their society. Nominations are based on the member’s activities during the current year, as well as a summary of that person’s contributions to the Medical Laboratory Science profession.
