Julie Morbach, MA, RT(R)(RDMS) recently joined the CAHP as RSTE faculty for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging programs at the Kearney campus. Julie earned a Bachelor’s in Radiologic Technology with the emphasis in Sonography and her Master’s at University of Nebraska – Lincoln in Educational Administration. She has worked in various roles as a sonographer: rural, urban, mobile and teaching.
“I’ve been a sonographer for over 20 years,” Julie said. “For the past 11 years, I have been teaching sonography and I’m very excited to join the UNMC team, where technology is in the forefront of faculty-student interactions.”
Originally from North Platte, Julie currently resides with her husband, John, and son, Jack, in Kearney.
“We lived in Lincoln for more than 20 years. Kearney is a great move for us, as my mom is located in North Platte and it will be nice to be closer to her. My husband is a very crafty person and some of it has rubbed off on me. We enjoy making flowers out of repurposed glass plates along with life-sized kids games out of wood (i.e. connect four). In addition, John and I build/coordinate a light display to music for his family’s annual 3rd of July party.”
Welcome aboard, Julie!
