PT Faculty Research presented at “The State of Women’s Health Research” Conference

The scholarly work of Betsy Becker, PT, CLT-LANA, Katherine Jones, PT, PhD, and Pat Hageman, PT, PhD, was presented at, “What a Difference an X Makes: The State of Women’s Health Research,” the fourth annual conference of the Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) held at the Pew Trust Conference Center in Washington, DC, July 18-19, 2013.  The conference featured researchers, clinicians, and health experts discussing the study of sex differences on the development of chronic diseases with the goal to improve the health and lives of women.

The faculty presented two studies related to community-based interventions for physical activity and exercise; one study focused on women with cancer, and the other focused on overweight and obese rural women.
