Jack Turman, Jr., PhD, PT, will provide a background on the history of racial disparities in infant mortality. This brief presentation will be followed by attendees breaking into smaller groups to discuss issues raised by Dr. Turman’s presentation. Dr. Turman will be accompanied by Mr. Stephan Jackson, MPH, Health Promotion Supervisor for the Douglas County Health Department, and President of the Omaha Chapter of the NAACP. Dr. Turman and Mr. Jackson will facilitate the small group discussions.
