Comparing and Contrasting NIH Awards for Postdocs: F32, K99/R00, and K22

Dr. Black has served on National Cancer Institute (NCI) and National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) review committees for F32, K99/R00 and K22 award mechanisms (F09A, NCI-I, DDK-C). She will discuss the differences in eligibility and review criteria for the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) for Individual Postdoctoral Fellows (F32), the Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00), and the Transition Career Development Award (K22). Dr. Black will emphasize what reviewers are looking for in the training plan (F32), the career development plan/career goals and objectives (K99/R00), and the career development plan (K22) with examples.
