Brad Dexter, PT, DPT, Class of 2011 alum, recently joined our physical therapy program as an assistant professor. Here’s more about Dr. Dexter in his own words:
With 13 years as a practicing physical therapist at Quality Living, Inc. (QLI), I developed expertise in neurological rehabilitation such as brain and spinal cord injuries and as a clinical instructor for many UNMC physical therapy students. I’m an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Level 1 Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Prior to joining the faculty at UNMC, I taught in lab courses for the UNMC and Creighton University PT programs. My passion for technology, health and wellness, and leadership in healthcare translates to the creation of educational videos, presentations, and podcasts for QLI and Kintinu Telerehab.
My wife, Stephanie, works as a software designer and we have three kids at home: Eva (7th grade), Ruby (5th grade), and Silas (2nd grade). We love the outdoors, a variety of sports, board games, and spending time with family and friends. I love a well-manicured yard, playing guitar, and as a native Nebraskan (Central City is my hometown), most things Nebraska Cornhusker.
