Iman M. Ahmad, PhD, joined Radiation Science Technology Education (RSTE) in the School of Allied Health Professions as an Assistant Professor. She received her PhD in Free Radical & Radiation Biology in 2003 from University of Iowa. She has worked as an Assistant Professor for nine years in Jordan teaching in the department of Medical Imaging as well as conducting research in collaboration with University of Iowa and University of Cincinnati. Dr. Ahmad’s research interests include redox biology studies using state-of-the art techniques to measure levels of antioxidants and oxidants in biological samples. She is married to Maher Abdalla, PhD, Assistant Professor in Pathology/Microbiology at UNMC, and they have one son, Abdallah (6 yrs).
