Scott Sanderson, program director and associate professor for clinical perfusion, was invited to speak at the 2025 American Society of ExtraCorporeal Technology (AmSECT) International Meeting in San Diego and was awarded the 2025 Abstract Fellowship Award. This award is presented annually to the individual who presents the most outstanding abstract over the course of the five-day international conference. AmSECT is the professional organization that represents all perfusionists in the United States.
This is the first time an individual from UNMC has received this award and places the research from the UNMC Clinical Perfusion program on the international stage both in presentation and in recognition.
