Most of our physical therapy faculty and four students recently attended the largest physical therapy conference in the country, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting, in Houston, Texas. In addition to networking, engaging, and enjoying the conference, some also presented their work.
Jenae Pope, class of 2026, and Betsy Becker, PT, DPT, PhD, Program Director, Associate Professor, and Chair of the Department of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences, were awarded a blue ribbon for recognition of work in promotion of social responsibility by the APTA Academy of Leadership and Innovation. Their poster was titled, “A Model for Advocacy, Advancing Policy Change in Support for Patients with Medicaid.”
Ms. Pope also received the Nebraska Physical Therapy Foundation Scientific Dissemination Award.
The poster and abstract are available for download here.
