Johnson and Sleddens recognized with PT service positions

Grace Johnson, PT, DPT, MS, OCS, in PT Education was appointed to the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties’ (ABPTS) Specialty Council on Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Her four-year term will begin January 1, 2016. The Specialty Council on Orthopedic Physical Therapy is responsible for defining orthopedic specialist practice, creating the specialist examination for board certification, and setting the criteria for board certification in orthopedic physical therapy. This is outstanding recognition of Dr. Johnson by her peers at the national level.

Professor Nikki Sleddens, PT, MPT, CEEAA, was recently elected Vice-President of the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. Elections occurred at the October 17th State Meeting in Omaha and her two-year term began immediately. In addition to her responsibilities on the Executive Committee for the State Chapter she will serve as Chair of the Panel on Education and Research.
