The Nebraska Bankers Association awarded Dr. Ka-Chun “Joseph” Siu $14,330 to purchase a portable balance stability sensor system. The device will be used to measure dynamic stability in patients with movement disorders and in adults who have concerns with balance. This device will be mainly housed in our own clinical movement analysis laboratory, however, it is a portable device which can be used in the community and even rural areas in Nebraska.
Also, a recent article by Katherine Jones, Anne Skinner, and their team, evaluating the impact of team training on safety culture is the Editor’s Choice in the special issue of BMJ Quality Safety on teamwork. Consequently, it is freely available.
