As part of UNMC’s December graduation ceremonies, the Physician Assistant Program proudly handed out 40 diplomas. Before the graduation ceremony, the Program had it’s annual Hooding Ceremony & Honors Convocation.

December 29th, 2008Newly Appointed Director of Admissions and Recruitment
December 29th, 2008The School of Allied Health Professions (SAHP) has hired Anne Constantino, MEd as the Director of Admissions and Recruitment, effective January 1, 2009. Ms. Constantino brings almost 12 years of experience in admissions and student services to this new position in the SAHP. 
Ms. Constantino, who holds a MEd from UNL in Higher Education-Student Affairs, has served as an admissions counselor, academic advisor, academic success specialist, assistant director of admissions, and most recently as a diversity specialist at UNMC. She has been actively involved with UNMC’s Summer Medical Dental Education Program (SMDEP).
Ms. Constantino is a member of the National Associations of Advisors for Health Professions, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators- Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
Ms. Constantino will lead the newly formed SAHP Office of Admissions and Recruitment and guide the development and implementation of centralized admissions, recruitment and student engagement activities. Please welcome Anne to the School of Allied Health Professions.

Hageman publishes in Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy
December 18th, 2008The research team of Carol Pullen, RN, EdD; Pat Hageman, PT, PhD; Linda Boeckner RD, PhD; and Susan Noble Walker, RN, EdD, had their findings published in the December 2008 volume of the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy.  Their findings suggest that Internet-delivered weight loss interventions appear feasible and effective for rural midlife and older women. Â
