UNMC/Nebraska Medicine psychiatrists will participate in a panel discussion during Women in Medicine Month to discuss their academic and clinical careers.

Dana Raml, MD

The event will be from 12 to 1 p.m. on September 20, 2024, in room 2014 at the Michael F. Sorrell Center. The discussion will provide valuable insights into their experiences, highlighting how they have navigated, persevered, and excelled in academic and clinical medicine.

The panel will include Riley Machal, MD; Lauren Edwards, MD; and Dana Raml, MD.

“The panel shows you the different types of faculty members we have here, what they do, the areas they work in, the different types of expertise they bring to the table, and we want people to ask questions and gain some insight on how these women balance work and home life in academic medicine,” said Celeste Akers, Co-Chair of the UNMC Department of Psychiatry SPARKS (Sponsoring Psychiatry Activities for Resilience, Kinship, and Support) Committee.
