The merits of interprofessional teamwork between physical therapists, nurses, and dieticians was highlighted Tuesday, August 17, 2010 during a presentation given by Patricia Hageman, PT, PhD at the Morehead Center for Nursing Practice Annual Workshop. The workshop, held live in Omaha with telecast transmission to Lincoln, Kearney, Scottsbluff and Norfolk, NE, emphasized the implications of research for health promotion practice as related to cardiovascular disease risk reduction. Other speakers included Carol Pullen, RN, EdD, Lani Zimmerman, RN, PhD, FAAN, Marlene Cohen, RN, PhD, FAAN, and Bunny Pozehl, RN, PhD, APRN-NP.
