Few individuals are appointed by the US Department of Health and Human Services to external advisory committees that tackle hot-topics in the arena of health education, interprofessional education and practice, and population health. Patricia Hageman, PT, PhD, professor in physical therapy education, received notice in December 2013 from US Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, of her reappointment to the Advisory Committee on Interdisciplinary Community-Based Linkages (ACICBL) for 2014. Congratulations, Dr. Hageman!
The 12th Annual Report of the US Health Resources and Services Administration’s external advisory committee, “Redesigning Health Professions Education and Practice to Prepare the Interprofessional Team to Care for Populations,” is available online. Dr. Hageman was one of 11 contributing members, all appointed by Secretary Sebelius.
Pat: Congratulations on your re-appointment. Having UNMC and the SAHP represented at a national level is indicative of the dedication and expertise of our faculty, and is recognition well-deserved.
Best wishes,
Greg
