Members of the Physical Therapy class of 1981 met for their 30-year reunion on June 17 and 18, 2011. They came from as far away as Wyoming, Texas, and California. Kyle Meyer, PhD, PT, senior associate dean of the School of Allied Health Professions, welcomed them and led a tour of the UNMC campus on Saturday afternoon.
When members of this class were here as students, the physical therapy program was located in Conkling Hall and the SAHP was spread out all over campus. Conkling has since been torn down and is the present location of the Lied Transplant Center, and the SAHP is all together in the renovated Bennett Hall. The former students were amazed by the advancements and changes to the campus.
The class provided a financial gift to the PT program to advance student education.
